Top 10 Sports Memories of the Decade; or You Were Doing WHAT Instead of Watching These?!?
Next up, great sports moments of the 2000s. Again, subject to what I actually saw/read about and may not include such sports as synchronized swimming, badminton, or bocce ball. Feel free to comment about if you agree/disagree!
10. 2004 ALCS. Red Sox over the Yankees. This series was just awesome, from what I hear. I’m neither a Yankees or a Red Sox fan. In fact, you could say I despise both of them, being a Royals fan. (Us bottom dwellers hate teams that actually win) But, this series had it all. Yankees up 3-0 in the best of 7, only to lose 4-3 which included the famous “bloody sock” game.
9. 2007 NL Wild Card Playoff Game. Did Matt Holiday ever touch the plate? Watch the video and you decide. Either way, the Rockies deserved to go, and they were the better team down the stretch. Regardless, it was an awesome playoff to get into the Wild Card round. Couldn’t have been a better 163rd game to a season.
